Here’s a Tip to get you started…
As you begin a new week, take a moment to make a quick list of your hobbies and special interests… activities which make you feel good when you invest time in them.
Perhaps your hobby is playing the guitar, or playing video games, or practicing yoga. Perhaps you are interested in learning more about social media, or dog grooming, or how to live on a raw foods diet.
Notice how many hobbies and special interests you have listed.
Now consider, what percentage of this coming week will be spent participating in these hobbies and personal interests.
Is it as much as you would like it to be?
Too often, people put off spending time on their hobbies and personal interests because they feel if they work hard now, there will be time in the future for these other activities.
Yet, we’ve all heard the adage: All work and no play makes one a very dull person indeed.
And, ‘dull’ means our light is burning out because our energy has run too low.
Agree? Then, ask yourself: ‘How can I spend the amount of time I intend to spend on my hobbies and personal interests?’
When we replenish ourselves with activities that lift our energy, we have greater power to invest in all of our other ‘intentional activities’ towards the fulfillment of our goals and B-All.
So, scheduling and spending time on our personal interests is actually an ‘intentional activity’ towards the fulfillment of our B-All with velocity and ease.
Equally important….it is possible to meet potential friends, clients, and ‘Personal Accountability Partners’ through associating with people who share our same interests…thus, moving us even closer to our B-All!
Many of us have done just that by participating in groups on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Not as many people know about http://www.Meetup.com, which is a social networking organization with groups organized by geographic area so that group participants can actually meet in face-to-face gatherings.
You may wish to take a moment now to see if there are any groups already formed in your city that you can join.
And, if not, you could be the first to start one and attract people to you!
